Strategic Salesforce Reimplementation for Children's Ground

Pro-bono CRM work for an Aboriginal-led organisation

Children's Ground is a not-for-profit led by Aboriginal communities, working to create a future for children and families filled with promise, hope and empowerment. As part of The Garden's charitable work, our Salesforce specialists reimplemented their CRM to fit the organisation's changing needs: six months of work, capped at 80 hours.

The challenge

The CRM had drifted from the organisation. Data values were inconsistent, undermining reporting; information lived in silos across Mailchimp, the donations platform, the e-commerce store and the website; and the metadata, the CRM’s fields and objects, had gaps in some places and clutter in others, in language that didn’t match how Children’s Ground actually talks about its work.

Our solution

Three objectives shaped the reimplementation: clean up the data, standardising values so reporting could be trusted; create a single source of truth, with sound integrations pulling Mailchimp, donations, e-commerce and website data directly into Salesforce for a 360-degree view of every contact; and audit the metadata, filling information gaps, removing what wasn’t needed, and customising language to increase relevance and adoption.

A clear integration roadmap mapped requirements before any build began, and custom training left the team managing the CRM independently, the same playbook our certified consultants have applied across not-for-profit implementations, migrations and architecture builds for years.

The results

Children’s Ground now runs on a leaner, more navigable Salesforce with reporting visibility their mission deserves: standardised data capture, integrated platforms, and a team onboarded to run it themselves.

From the team

We use integrations to break down data silos. By bringing together information from different platforms directly into Salesforce, it's easy for users to get a 360° view of contacts in one place.
