The challenge
The campaign targeted first-home buyers interested in new land in developing areas: generally 25 to 50, most likely married, motivated by design and price, and needing peace of mind through a daunting first purchase. Every internet lead deserved real attention, without wasting a sales agent’s hours finding out which ones were serious.
Our solution
We integrated with Sherridon’s existing 1300 number and ran our own extension for sales-ready leads, calling all new enquiries within 2 hours, making three attempts across morning, afternoon and evening or weekend, then following the third miss with a click-to-call SMS. Qualified leads handed over instantly at call end, with hot handovers placing the lead on hold and transferring live to an available Sherridon agent.
Mid-campaign, the data reshaped the approach: Sherridon’s audiences resonated with emotional messaging, so the calling framework shifted to motivations and dreams, open-ended questions about where buyers saw themselves in a few years. Conversion focus moved from hard-booking appointments to warm transfers, letting agents set times themselves and ending timetable clashes.
The results
Across six months of outbound calling, 1,020 leads were managed at a 70.29% average connection rate, peaking as high as 76.37%, converting at a 6.4% lead-to-sale rate and a 12.57% opportunity-to-sale rate: qualified buyers in front of the sales team, with the tyre-kickers already filtered out.
From the team
It was so rewarding to help Sherridon Homes drive not only more worthwhile leads into their sales funnel, but also be directly involved in increasing their opportunity-to-sale rate. The excitement for their invigorated brand was palpable, and using this to help these excited potential first-home buyers was just as exciting for us.
